Sounds like you need Star Alliance and LH or TP for TATL and don’t need OW status anyway. My Star status is with A3 but I fly LH, LX and UA more than them. This game is about maximizing benefits not necessarily being on the program of the airlines you fly. I will switch OW program away from BA to AY or QR but probably still once in a while fly BA and for sure fly AA and use their lounges.
LH M+M turns out to be as useless and expensive for redemption flights as BA is, with fuel surcharges that are almost as high, so will probably just stick to UA from here on out.
