Although I have (luckily) never been in such a scenario, what is the recommended course of action in case of a forced downgrade (where EU261 applies)?
- a long-haul 75% refund seems useless as it might not even cover the price difference between the travel classes
- a complete refund doesn't seem to help either as you're stuck somewhere without a ticket home. In fact it seems like the biggest cop-out for the airlines as they would lose absolutely nothing
What is the best option if you want to travel in your original booking class and are ready to accept a change in travel dates?
