After Ushuaia, our ship headed towards the dreaded Drake passage and on our way to a 4 days sailing around the various islands in the Antarctic. Luckily, or unlucky depends on your views, we got very lucky, and missed a major storm. Both trips through the Drake, we got the Drake lake instead of the Drake dragon. Not much waves at all.
We spend the next 4 days sailing through some of the islands. The itinerary is really dependant on the weather conditions and how far in we can get. We started with Elephant Island, King George Island, we went to Anwers Island, and tried to get into Port Lockroy, but had to turn back as we got heavy fogs and a white out, finally Deception Island before returning back up the Drake passage.
We saw so many wildlifes, from penguins, whales, seals, birds. So many different types of icebergs.
