I really don't understand AA's staffing on the A321. Sometimes one of the three Y FAs go up to F to assist during the meal service, but most of the time it's just the one FA handling all 20 passengers.
Agree, another thing I still cannot understand...why not assign a second FA to J for the entirety of the meal service? Especially now with these changes. It's not like there's meaningful buy-on-board to manage in Y, plus with only 1 drink service now, who cares about the speed of it. Two FAs can manage the Y service. The left hAAnd doesn't talk to the right hAAnd.
