I have booked an Economy Flight to Kuala Lumpur that departs Philly on Jan 23 and arrives on the 24th, but then has a 2.5 day layover (literally, officially a long term purposeful layover) in Doha. My return is business, but via Shanghai to Dallas instead.
I am on the miles and cash copay list for an upgrade to business with AA, but I assume that'll only allow me business on the Philly leg via AA to Doha, and regardless it'll be Economy from Doha to Kuala Lumpur when I am more likely to use the lounge. My flight leaves Doha Monday, Jan 27th at 230 in the morning, direct to KUL. I'll have checked out of the new Andaz Doha at 4 pm that day so a shower at midnight might actually be appreciated.
