If AS goes revenue based then I'll become a free agent and fly based on lowest cost and quit doing mileage runs. Might as well save my money for other things and paid upgrades. That is what I do with restaurant reward programs. No more loyalty for me. I won't be paying more on AS website when I can buy for less on co-partner airlines. I just paid more on AS website for trip to Japan to earn EQM, wouldn't have done that if I didn't get the miles. Worst, I could greatly reduce my flying altogether. I think AS will continue down the wrong path as they continue their desire to be like everyone else and forget how and what fueled its growth.
