One tries to mind one's own business but one cannot avoid hearing the DY'WIA causing a ruckus at the lounge entrance.
* tone of discussion and arguement with lounge attendant...... loud as in ...
- loud " i have a lounge pass and should be let in ... together with my complete family, you want me to leave them outside?"
- outrage loud " i have top status with Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt, if you don't let us in , i'll report you that your hotel lost our business!"
- loud escalation " here look at your list, see my name and room number, do i need to spell it to you "
- loud entitled "we all have the same last name , i've paid for lounge acces under my name"
- loud decoy " see those folks sitting there, we know them and they asked us to come over "
- loud discussion of strategy in a different language " just say you are in my room and your last name is ..." - "these folks? "They're with me, just ask them"
- loud bragging rights in other language " see i got us in , i knew it would work "
So yes, i don't want to know but one cannot escape the scene unfolding ....
I'm blessed being able to understand English, French, German, Dutch, Hebrew, Yiddish, Italian, with all kinds of dialects thrown in ... but i cannot undo my observance and hearing with DYKWIA on display. A lot of things get said in public in the "heat" of the moment
