On a related point, I urge Southwest to allow business travelers to purchase two seats for one passenger to guarantee an empty seat next to them. In the past, they prohibited this practice. The extra seat was only for COS and musical instruments. Now that they have assigned seating, it should be easy to implement.
Better still, I continue to advocate for an EU-style "business class" service in which the middle seat is blocked in the first few rows. For business travelers, the extra legroom is not worth as much as the empty seat.
