When he walked over to the Premium Service agent to talk about the situation, she magically produced a boarding pass with my proposed new flight while preserving my upgrade. Maybe this is coming from the additional work experience as opposed to access rights, but I seek them out where I can when needed.
PZ is not usually a class that's available to rebook in day of departure, so a change involving this fare class typically involves a return to your original cabin and we are not supposed to rebook into revenue premium cabin fare classes. Without knowing what was actually done to accomplish the task, I can't really comment. But, anything done outside of policy should be notated in the PNR by the agent as to the reason.
