Getting to south Florida from Atlanta this weekend.

So as most of you have been following Friday is looking very iffy in terms of weather. We have a can't miss function Saturday morning in south east Florida.

Being fairly conservative, we booked the last flight out Thursday night giving us much cushion as our thought process was "well even if that flight gets cancelled we will have all day Friday to get there".

Now of course Friday may be a complete disaster and I'm thinking there is a possibility that no flights go on Friday. So my question is if that becomes more of a real possibility in Delta's eyes by say Thursday afternoon-what do they generally do with that last bank of flights that leave Atlanta between 10 and 11 pm Thursday to all of the the south Florida airports? If they think ops in Atlanta will be very scarce on Friday do they make every effort to get the planes out of Atlanta late Thursday? Then of course they would sit at the spoke airports for most/all of Friday if Atlanta is a mess? Just moved to Atl a few years ago - so is no flights on Friday a real possibility or am I over thinking this? Am I likely to get out Thursday night regardless of how Friday is looking?

Thanks for the opinions.
