Jet2 is a generally slicker operation, customer service is better (they self-handle in most UK airports which definitely helps) and there's a good range of pre-order food.
That is a really good question and I have to confess that I haven’t flown Jet2 since 2017! As soon as I made it to GGL I’ve been going out of my way to fly OneWorld only so that I could keep my status. Of course, now that is impossible to keep (maximum I’ve spent for travel for myself in a year is £22k) I have no reason to be loyal to BA and OneWorld and will be checking out Jet2 again.
