I got confirmation from EI on twitter. The OTA was very clear I had the bag but wanted to have it written from EI since the issues I've had with EI before. Basically just pre-empting issues at the airport.

It's annoying EI make it so hard, booked SQ, AI, UA and ET all with the same OTA this week and all the airlines display the baggage online and were very responsive to seat requests.
