Many airlines take the view that if you are notified more than 14 days out (of a schedule change or cancellation) it will also exempt the airline for reimbursement of expenses incurred under the right of care. Obviously they are wrong on this point, but it doesn’t prevent them from continuing the practice. So nothing new about the reply /rejection received from BA.
