That sounds great BUT try to contact them via the methods and numbers they have posted. In the pacific region the only options the automated system gives you are:
1. Information on Nexus
2. Information on CanPass
Then, something along the lines of `for everything else, press "0" to speak to an agent
Every single time I went down this path the answer after several rings is that all agents are busy and please leave a message.
What I don't understand is why they cannot make the passport renewals process more integrated on the Canadian side so that when you fill in the renewal, you can indicate there that you are a NEXUS member.
They also do not appear to have anything for this scenario that tells you clearly what to do. Since I am close to the enrollment office I am just going to show up there first thing with both passport and NEXUS card and ask someone where to go to get it updated.
One other thing - I sent an email to the address posted on the website and very strangely I got a phone call from someone who said I should take photos of my passport and NEXUS card and email them so they can update the system. It all sounded great but looking at the quality of the Government of Canada logo I stopped there and did not feel comfortable emailing this information - which is CLEARLY not a procedure they tell you to do on the website.
Lastly I also know many here have done nothing with no consequences, but II never take chances when the language is unclear and the zero tolerance policy. I agree it is a stupidly complicated process that is totally inefficient.
