Old version's bed has a quasi gap between the window, new has a head gap.
New tray table is better.
Old you can store a bag under the foot rest, new can't, but new has better storage for small stuff.
If you can't get a true window seat, only an aisle, then the new one has infinitely better privacy.
Overall even with the old it's ok, just avoid the A330s, which you can't apart for NRT...
