IME DL agents, including RedCoats and SC staff, cannot save passports, but you can do it yourself at an airport kiosk *when departing for an international trip* even if you've already done OLCI. [I've never tired it before a domestic segment connecting to an international segment, but I would hope that this would also work.] You just act like you want to reprint your boarding pass.
