Probably will just keep it. It's a "good deal". that leg is $4500 if you want to book D1 and got it for $999 booked with main cabin.
My luck if I drop it and change flights to go a couple days earlier I'll lose the 1k and not be in D1. I am almost certain this guy knew what he was talking about and if I wanted to do it the time would have been with him.
