Seats auto assigned before 24 hour check in?
Does BA actually assign seats before the 24 hour window?
Yesterday morning about 28 hours before check in I was looking at the seat map and when I closed out of the seat map my reservation briefly showed an assigned seat (2C). Which then reverted to “— —“. Once online check in opened I actually forgot to check in. I remembered about 3 hours later and sure enough I was assigned away 2C.
