I booked some tickets from the US to Canada for my family of three for $3300 in December on Economy Flex. I am now seeing the same booking for $2000. Since I get free changes with cancellations go , I logged in to see what would happen if I "changed" to the same flight; however, it did not show the reduced fare. Since this is a non-refundable fare, could I just cancel it and have the funds deposited in my AC wallet, then rebook using funds from the wallet? This would leave me with $1300 towards a future flight. How soon would I have to use the extra funds in my AC wallet? With other airlines, it's typically been within one year of the original booking date.
