I've had SWU clear at booking for LAX-HND and HND-LAX and 2 days before the flight on DFW-NRT. I found what seemed unicorn dates for the LAX-HND flights that cleared at booking. It seems much more common for the SWUs to clear the day before or day of. The DFW-NRT flight went out with a wait list, I think only the top 2 the day of cleared.

I think I read that AA had planned to upsize the flights on the LAX-HND to a 787-9? Same thing for DFW-HND? So perhaps a better shot there?
