Advice needed to Change Minors Seat
Hi, Weird issue. My wife and I are flying BOS-EWR-CDG RT in March and we booked our flights with miles and we're seated in E+. We've also booked EWR-CDG for our minor granddaughter using miles and paid the unaccompanied minor fee. We then called in and asked for the unaccompanied minor fee to be refunded and her seat changed to next to us, as she would no longer be an unaccompanied minor. That worked fine. However, our dates have changed and we've rebooked both our flights and hers for a week later. The problem is that we've now lost her seating next to us. So I call in and expect no problem having an agent at the premier desk change her seating. But this is weird, they say there is not an open seat between us....we;re in 33A and C, and we'd like her on B. Our seat map shows that B is open. the agent doesn't. So, I say what about 33JKL?. They say those seats are occupied. We still see it open and I move us from 33AC to 33JL without a problem...I ask agent if the seats we just vacated now show open on their screen...Nope. They don't show anything in Economy + open, although there clearly is that we can move to, but they can't move our granddaughter. So I can we resolve this? Is there someone else to message or call? What about changing her age to older so we can change her seat, and then changing it back later?
