My long and rambling post above echoes the great location for Ginza, not only for the shopping but also for the great food, not to mention convenience of transportation.

There are hotels at every price points in Ginza, even around $150 a night, but those hotels are not part of Hyatt BTW, even the Muji hotel nearby wants $400-$500 a night when we were in town last December 2024.

The rate of 148,000 yen mentioned upthread is consistent with what I paid for the December 2024 stay. The November stay was at 25,000 points per night! A quick scan of Hyatt.com showed that the rate of the end of January 2025 (but before the Chinese New Year) at the Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo is at 125,000 yen (!) and it is the highest rate of all the Hyatt properties in Tokyo except the Park Hyatt which is closed for renovation.

No question that the Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo is popular!
