I fly CE EDI-LON every couple of weeks. I don’t eat onboard and don’t drink. I am 90% LHR and the value proposition is on having an empty seat next to me (often 2) and 1D. LCY I am not going to pretend is worth it for just bulkhead legroom but always fly back from LHR so I benefit from lounge on the return and empty space.

Years ago flying domestic before CE was a thing domestically I was bronze and only way to get lounge access was fully flex domestic which Incould never justify at the time. As a non status holder the CE benefits were great when I got them.

Starting to reevaluate value of spend now and honestly easyJet I can get a bulkhead and book a second seat next to me and still save £200. At EDI I’ll still get fastrack security from car park and priority pass lounges in Gatwick and Edinburgh are OK for a brief stop and a water too up.

Once the GGL benefits drop it’s going to be hard to justify BA… but when I do I will still fly CE for space and other benefits even if not TP.

I’m regularly spending £500 on a EDI-LHR day return though. I am not convinced it’s worth that at all
