For me, it is really uncomfortable to have the divider up in the odd-row middle seats. It feels like I am sitting shoved up against a wall. So if I am traveling alone, I will take any window seat as first, then an even-row middle, and only last an odd-row middle.
I honestly don't like the odd-row middle seats. I'm tall enough to see over the divider when upright and God forbid if my neighbor is feeling gassy
