Does anyone know how United handles MUA charges when it’s domestic connecting to international (on the same ticket). If only the domestic clears, am I still charged the cash amount plus the points (hypothetically $400 + 30K points) if the international leg doesn't clear? Assuming buying in PE that is.
If the long-haul is marketed as Polaris, and it doesn’t clear, you get to keep the domestic upgrades but still get a full refund of the miles + copay.
