There's usually also an AFKL employee supervising them, and then later at the gate too.
there were 4 afklm employees at the gate. the boss was, i was told, the klm uniformed one. this is the one who, i wrote, did not care
If you had something that was genuinely not handled well, file a complaint to AFKL under the "event at airport" category. Last year when I had an issue on board a flight, I did that and had people on-ground and in-air following up too. So the support channels do work.

i think it is a pity that they ruin the efforts which afklm has made in in-flight service quality
i think it is a pity that passengers - or at least I - are upset when boarding the plane
i have the feeeling that in-flight personel are aware of that
