That's an interesting ratio of Silver to Gold if true - anyone have insight into the "why"...? With something like BAEC one would assume fewer members the higher one goes, but of course reaching the higher echelons means flying more so more likelihood to be in T5 at any given time. Is it that simple...? i.e. that there are indeed many more Silvers than there are Golds out there, but with much lower frequency they're greatly outnumbered where it matters?

The other option I can think of would be an unexpected distribution of the membership (and less influence from the number of visits per year factor).
