It must be quite something at these transfer desks for the past two weeks. There are dozens of longhaul flights that have been arriving in Istanbul delayed for hours every single day. In particular the B77W fleet has been very problematic. I would imagine most people on those flights do not proactively seek solutions, so I wonder how TK is managing this. Are they rebooking people while they are in flight or is it left up to the passengers and the transfer desk staff to sort things out once they get to IST? It must be a logistical nightmare if that is the case.
