Same here. This is a horrible new development (maybe it has been fixed as others have suggested). I booked a FHR hotel in Mykonos and chose to prepay; the prepayment was to be the full amount ($256 or so). But it was charged by the hotel and was only half the amount, the receipt says it was a deposit, and the purchase earned only one point per dollar.

This was a 2024 credit booked two weeks ago for a stay in May. I'll call but this is annoying.

I guess if one doesn't want to book a nonrefundable rate, one needs to book way out and see if the credit happens...and then choose another hotel if it doesn't.
