The wines in the air are, as you said, fairly good. Lounge wines used to be good and better than those on board. Now, its visa versa, hope it is temporarily
Arrival lounge: there is a VIP room before immigration counters to the right. Have never been there, neither seen others. Will check it out later this month on my return
I rated WB 9/10 on Skytrax which is likely a couple of strokes too high, but the cheap ticket forced me to be generous
Umwaka mushya muhire .
Have you been invited through email by Skytrax to vote this year? Myself yes but only by AF, not RwandAir... Is the VIP room still visible and "open" (not that I want to or can afford to go thought)?

Anyway for smokers, just to give a fresh update as of early 2025:

The bad news:
1) As of today inside the departing terminal, there is only ONE (1) airside smoking cabin - as previously pictured above in the first post – and located in the DreamMiles Lounge operated by RwandAir.
2) Non-status pax can NOT get access to an airside public smoking lounge unless...

The good news:
3) The normal traveller can pay the regular entrance fee for the contracted Pearl lounge (operated by NAS Aviation) at 40 USD/EUR or 58,000 RWF which – confirmed by 4 different staff members of both lounges – entitles you to visit the DreamMiles Lounge nearby (30 seconds away) and its unique and exclusive smoking cabin.
4) Anyone owning a regular lounge access to the Pearl Lounge ( via FF/PP or others) has also a free access to that place. RwandAir dragons will allow you to enter without a fuss. I was flying with Kenya Airways ( as a STEP) and was surprised to do not see the previously available cabin in the Pearl Lounge thus staff redirected to this place.

For those of you wondering, except the great views on to the city (see the nice photo from Pedersens) for the premium RwandAir lounge, there is absolutely no difference in term of F/B offerings and equipments/amenities with the Pearl. Review with photos of the Pearl lounge can be read here .
