on my printed ticket , it states 3kg for personal item and 8 kg for carry on. I bought mine through Chase Travel . The part about stopping at the ticket counter was one of 5 general instructions . I think I will just try the security gate and see what happens . I can understand checking in counter if I have checked baggage or international flight
