I do the trip from BART to D multiple times per month. Barring a truly aberrational train delay, it's quite a bit quicker to take the AirTrain from G vs. walking. And I am a very fast walker. I also much prefer T2 security, generally the easiest at SFO, especially with AS and DL gone from T2.
If coming from G International, is it a more direct walk landside than the F detour?

My 80yr old mom is coming into G intl and is connecting to D14 with a 2hr layover with checked bags. She's got GE and Clear/Pre but a slow walker. I was thinking of telling her to take the airtrain to Terminal 3 instead but I don't think she's ever taken it so higher chance of getting lost.
That would work perfectly for the AC lounge but it closes at 4pm today and her connection is 3-5pm. E4 is the next closest. In that case, I'm not sure which is faster.
