Not sure if this is part of the recent gate closure push, but travelled a couple of times over the last fortnight with easyJet out of LGW and staff have been incredibly on bag checking - ensuring the small cabin bag is compliant with the sizer, or else face the fee! Just warning for anyone chancing it - think the fee was about £40 or £50 and saw folk dumping one case.
