Since a lot of us are leaving BA for this (and all other sorts of reasons), I thought it would be useful and cleaner to have a separate thread for people to post their plans for/ideas on BAEC alternatives, mostly from the point of view of Oneworld Sapphire/Emerald qualification.

Personally I'm thinking of either AS or AY, being UK based.

As a personal and subjective anecdote, I recently decided to do my best to avoid BA after their cold, disrespectful and uncompassionate treatment by their customer services during a family emergency, which was in stark contrast to VS and CX under similar circumstances.
