You were right. Not that it's bad but it's certainly far from luxury.
Gonna do a real quick rundown of how I felt about my other hotel stays.
Bangkok - The Standard - Loved it, upgraded to a corner room upon check-in, decor and style right up my alley, liked the location, great staff, A/C that pumps in hot & humid Bangkok summer. Would definitely stay again.
Koh Samui - Six Senses - Nice eco-retreat, dated rooms, decent drive to town, great service, bland food. Would choose somewhere else on the island next time.
Bangalore - Four Seasons - Basically a perfect stay with very nice modern rooms, good food and outstanding service. Cocktail bar and staff, some of the best on the planet. Would stay again.
Udaipur - Leela Palace - Terrible choice, outdated rooms, terrible A/C, decent enough service but very poor communication, extremely overbearing and unpolished but good food and pretty lake views. Would not stay here again.
Jaipur - Oberoi Rajvilas - One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, amazing villa with a pool, great service, food and drink, location is a bit out of the city. Would definitely stay again.
Agra - Oberoi Amarvilas - Meh, amazing pool, nice room, great service, okay food, terrible bar, good views. If you're going to Agra, it's the only place to stay really.
Delhi - The Imperial - Nice art deco rooms and grounds. Good service, nice spa and pool. I got food poisoning from room service though. Wouldn't stay again.
