Essentially it's because the invoice was never forwarded from the hotel to Hyatt. I filed a missing stay request with Hyatt and I've called Hyatt several times, and they've been useless. Hyatt created a case number for me and then basically said they would escalate with the hotel and to give it 7-14 days, and otherwise to just try calling myself.

The problem is, Chinese hotels are notorious for not answering emails and I don't have an easy way to make an international call to China. I find it ridiculous that Hyatt can't just call a hotel in their network themselves. Anyone have any good idea on how to proceed?
Nick from Frequent Miler just posted about a similar problem. Appears to be widespread.
