I use a Tumi Continental 2-wheel (unexpanded) on almost every flight that I take (usually first or business but I have also taken it economy).

I have only ever had an issue once at LGW (who in my experience have the worst, most unfriendly and troublesome check in staff) where they insisted on weighing it and refused to let me bring it onboard. I have also been in their lounge where they were arguing with someone in the lounge about his hand-luggage, telling him that they had put him on a black-list as a 'problem customer' for hand luggage. Oh, I have also often see them weighing bags at the gate at LGW but no other airport.

However I have never had a single issue at any other airport but I have to admit that I usually travel hand baggage only (so they don't see it until the gate) or if I have to check bags, I generally keep it somewhat out of sight at the check-in counter, just in case.
