Would you do a 1:32 D-I connection at LAX?

Have the option of doing TPA-LAX-HKG, but it's only a 1:32 connection, and UA 2056 (TPA-LAX) doesn't have the greatest on time record.

Right now, I'm taking an extra flight (TPA-IAH-LAX-HKG), which makes for an incredibly long day!
