I intend to use either places as a stopover and then go from HKG/TPE to TPE/HKG.
I can't figure out how to use the online multicity tool to book the SFO -> TPE -> HKG stopover without it ballooning in whatever cost that Starlux prices have charged.
I'm then thinking maybe its cause they're newly added so something might be broken and I can just use CX to do a SFO -> HKG -> TPE.
I'm able to see availability on one way segments for each city pair, but nothing when I do the multi city?
Did I break another rule?
In the case of JX, from what I see, it's almost always cheaper to book 2 one-ways, SFO-TPE and TPE-HKG, than booking SFO-TPE-HKG in a single ticket (stopover or direct connection).
You can also check CX's TPE-HKG and if it suits you better you can book JX SFO-TPE and CX TPE-HKG.
