KLM has always gone for stuff like this. I normally enjoy what they serve. AMS-US on the longer routes (basically not JFK/BOS) have been upgraded food service over last couple years. KLM even gives a mid-flight snack (burger or ice cream or small item) on them.

I won't call it gourmet, but sometimes simpler is better. I find D1 food can be hit or miss cause they try to be gourmet.
