What do you guys think of AA Platinum status after 100 nights with WoH? It seems like the Hyatt/AA partnership is somewhat similar to Marriott/UA's partnership, but the AA status is obviously much harder to achieve given that it requires 100 nights. I'm thinking of switching FF program in light of the changes announced by BA. I do have a Hyatt/Chase credit card and with a combination of stay and shifting some spending to this card, I could see myself attaining AA Platinum status. I guess the better question would be whether to get 100 nights with Hyatt and attain Platinum status or just get 60 nights to qualify for Globalist and then fly/spend organically to qualify for AA Platinum status.

Those that were selected for it from 2018 to 2023 if I recall correctly. That’s a huge timeline to have such amazing benefits.

Got targeted for an accelerated offer once didn’t take it. Some people got instant status and got it renewed too, the lucky ones.

There’s a debate about the 12.5k in other Hyatt group - People are mainly saying for International Flights it could be worth it.

If they offered Gold for a year at the 20 night Milestone I’d take it, but likely wouldn’t choose that instead of the 40 night Milestone ever.

Since Hyatt has given AA ConciergeKey members instant Globalist status for years, AA should at least give instant Gold status to Globalists, it’s not much they’d be giving up basically a free checked bag.
Which group? I agree that for domestic, it'll be useless as AA restricts lounge access on a domestic itinerary.
