Since I didn't get a definitive answer to this question when I posted it, let me say what happened. Despite the fact that this car rental reservation was made online, and I have a Hertz account, the 407 toll road charges were not invoiced using any electronic means. No email and no mention of the 407 charges when I log in to my Hertz account, despite the fact that the original rental charges are still there.
Instead, Hertz sent me the invoice for the 407 charges solely by old fashioned snail postal mail--during a national postal strike.
