im okay with nightlight passing out in main cabin for the 6 hour or so flight to LiS. They want $800 to upgrade to premium select.

coming back BCN to ATL it’s a daytime flight and longer at 10 hours. The upgrade to premium select is $600. Would you do this. Worth it for a day flight? Delta one is $3k upgrade.
PS is more or less equivalent to a domestic FC seat and while everyone has their own valuation, a common rule-of-thumb used on FT is "$1/minute" for FCM offers. A 10 hour flight is 600 minutes so $600 exactly fits the $1/minute rule used by many.

Before buying PS via the buy-up, do check to see what it would cost to refare to PS if you simply bought a new ticket/changed the ticket. Sometimes the buy-up offered through "My Trips" is better and sometimes it's better to reprice the ticket. You may find repricing the entire ticket also offers a reasonable buy-up to PS on the BOS-LIS leg too.
