Let's be real. BAH is not a hotel "agent". It is a reseller of packaged rates via Expedia mostly. Being an agent is far more than this and I am not talking only of the luxury segment. BAH does not have dedicated market agents or ground knowledge; they do not know hotel managements to pull specific deals or anything of that sort. Even the advertised seasonal deals where they go heavy on publications (certain Greece or Caribbean destinations for example) usually when you look closer it is an existing published packaged rate that's just been bundled with a sale fare on the air component. Nothing more. That does not mean the customer service is not good - it is, but that does not make them a proper agent and I think they are punching above their weight massively if their intent is really about boosting this much that side of the business. It would need a huge transformation first, and it is not in their know-how currently so I am very skeptical.
