They seem to be going very slow on the 787s, and still have over twenty 787s and 777s to refurb
I guess Cardiff won’t be doing the A380 refurbs, so in theory it could happen in parallel to the 787/777s, but I suspect the constraint will be BA having sufficient operational wide body capacity.
The 787 refurbs have been delayed because of engine issues with the aircraft. I’m assuming BA does not want to waste money (and supply constrained new seats) on airframes which, once upgraded, then sit in the tarmac for months on end. I imagine the 2 remaining 777-200s will be next for Cardiff then it will resume the 787s. There are 10 (out of 12) 787-8s and all (18) 787-9s yet to convert.
As for the a380s, I think the first reverb js due to begin in Q3 2025.
