I really doubt they will exist by the time we're supposed to fly, though, which is making planning very stressful. I'm in agreement that if the AU transfer route is being viewed as suspicious then AmEx and their transfer partners should discontinue offering/allowing it. Had I known this would be an issue, I'd definitely have done things differently (buying the points needed to top off what was in one of our accounts rather than transferring from both might have had better results, but I had no idea I was raising any flags, I just thought I was using the program as intended).
Can you still see them on the Cathay side with the PNR?
Yeah, that would be super stressful, I can imagine. Hope you can get this sorted out sooner or later. I wonder if there are any other posts floating about that talk about whether their tickets are still valid, even if the account was deactivated...
