I am in the same boat exactly - GFL and GGL until April 2026 (if this month’s plans stay intact). I was away this week and only kept a watching eye on the news. I also have moved from being angry & upset to accepting & liberated. I wrote to Mr Doyle, explaining that, perversely, he has ensured that my contribution to the BA coffers from now on will be largely limited to fees associated with deploying my 750k Avios.
I agree with all the comments about missing the GGL team in the future.
I should have said that 2025-26 was going to be a relatively easy year for requalification under the old rules, because of a planned round the world trip, which may now occur on a different alliance.
