I'm not sure the time of your flight but the express buses between Milano Centrale train station and Linate work pretty well and that opens up a lot more hotel choices. The Air Bus takes 30 mins and departs regularly and now costs 7 euro.

And now the airport is connected via metro and that opens up even more options. Unfortunately a change is required to reach Milano Cle.

I did walk it once but that was absolutely nuts - I'd never do that again.
