a local friend has told me to stay in south Jakarta near block m or the Center. I am looking for an affordable hotel for 3 nights. I don’t have the budget for the Saint Regis or property like the ritz.
budget is around £30-£40 a night. A good sized room and clean is good enough for me. Ideally around the block m area.
thank you for your advice in advance
I am looking at the below hotels:

The All Seasons is the only hotel on your list i have stayed at. It's sparkling clean, comfortable and smart without offering too many frills. Where it really scores is in its very central location, next to the BNI City station for the airport train, just steps away from the metro (which will take you directly to Bloc M), close to a Transjakarta stop and within walking distance of the city's glitziest malls.
There's nothing wrong with the FM7, near the airport. But if I were staying some days in Jakarta and opted for the All Seasons I'd go there directly by train from the airport
https://urbanistwanderer.com/2024/02...ilink-cgk-bni/. Train tickets are a little over £3 and the journey take 35 minutes or so - although the is a small element of faff in taking the airport's people-mover Skytrain to the airport railway station.
