Just a quick update on this issue. It looked like AS saying they'll push the baggage allowance 3 days before travel date was correct. We found that the baggage allowance finally showed up on our tickets. QR staff that the airport happily took in 7 bags from 4 passengers (2 pcs @ 23kg each / passenger) when we checked in at DXB.
